This method of facial anlaysis is totally different from classic method of facial analysis. This method had been presented on journal of plastic and reconstructive surgery and aesthetic plastic surgery journal. BAPA has several advantages: it measures relative facial balance and harmony for each face, it can be applied to different genders, racial and ethnic groups regardless of generation and time; BAPA prevent patient from having unrealistic expectations, illusive perception about his or her face . BAPA can measure someones's facial balance or harmony within his or her peculilar facial characteristics. It does not measure facial feature as absolue length or absolute criteria. It analysis the relative relationship among each aestehtic facial subunits. This program does not promote facial plastic surgey, on the contrary, this program helps people not to undergo awful or inappropriate plastic surgery and not to be cheated by commerical propaganda for plastic surgey.
I do believe each human face has its own dignity in itself. I am a revolter against ordinary plastic surgeon. I insist plastic surgeon should not measure facial beauty of human face with one measure. I insist that human faces differ from one another on the basis of race and ethnicity. The ideal or attractive face of one generation is different from another and depends in large measure on racial, ethnic, national, personal as well as gender preferences.
